In addition to our own historic past, the Amana Woolen Mill has helped replicate historical events in other ways. Over the years, we have supplied blankets to many Civil War history buffs to be used in re-enactments.
Our blankets also appeared in several movies. Over 170 blankets were used as props in the TNT miniseries "Andersonville" in 1996 and nearly 200 blankets were commissioned for the 2003 box office hit "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise.
